Campsite.bio gives you more design control and marketing extras (image buttons, link scheduling, email sign-ups) than Linktree, with paid plans from $7/month. Linktree is the simpler, better-known list of links, with the Linktree logo on free pages. atom.bio puts every feature on the free plan, including design, analytics, products and WhatsApp; free pages show small ads.

Everyone talks about Linktree, and we’ve covered the bigger picture in our list of Linktree alternatives. But I’ve tested a lot of bio tools myself, and Campsite.bio and atom.bio got my attention for very different reasons. Quick note: this post is on atom.bio’s blog, so I’ve tried hard to be fair and say where Campsite wins.

Campsite.bio vs Linktree: the short version

Linktree is where most people start. Its free plan has unlimited links, social icons, themes and basic analytics. The Linktree logo stays on free pages, and removing it needs Pro (around $15/month in the US) or Premium. Starter is around $8/month and Pro around $15/month, cheaper if you pay yearly. Want the basics first? Read what Linktree is and how it works.

Campsite.bio is the one for people who are picky about design and run campaigns. On its free plan it was shockingly generous with custom colors and fonts. Its standout features are image buttons, scheduled links that go live (or disappear) on their own, email sign-up forms, and a weekly newsletter with tips based on your page’s performance.

So if you just want a list of links, Linktree is the easy pick. If you want your page to look designed and do some marketing work for you, Campsite.bio is the stronger tool.

What I liked about atom.bio

atom.bio promises to put everything together in one shareable link. The real surprise was the price, or the lack of one.

I kept using it, waiting for a paywall to pop up for a feature I needed. It never came. Setting up my test page took five minutes, and everything I used was free:

  • unlimited links
  • full customization for backgrounds and styles
  • useful analytics (views, clicks, traffic sources, top links)
  • products with a price, photo and WhatsApp order button
  • an automatic QR code for the page and a WhatsApp chat bubble

No features grayed out behind a paywall. The one thing you accept on the free plan is small ads on your page.

atom.bio plans: Free at $0 and Premium at $3.99 per month to remove ads

Templates vs DIY design

Design is usually where free plans hold back. Not with these two; they just have different strengths.

Campsite.bio is generous with design control on its free plan. It has a bunch of great pre-made themes, and its customizer lets you build something that looks professionally designed, no credit card required.

atom.bio surprised me. The template selection is smaller, but they’re well designed, and customizing them is very intuitive. I had a pro-looking page up and running in five minutes.

The short version: Campsite gives you more pre-built variety to start with. atom.bio gives you simpler tools to make a template feel like yours.

Who is each tool for?

  • Brands juggling several campaigns

atom.bio works well for:

  • New creators who can’t afford monthly subscriptions yet
  • Small businesses that need contact forms, WhatsApp, maps and products without a monthly fee (see our link in bio for small business guide)

The real difference: Campsite.bio assumes you’re ready to invest in your page, while atom.bio lets you use every tool without a credit card.

Campsite.bio vs atom.bio, feature by feature

Branding and looks

Campsite.bio is a dream if you’re picky. You get a lot of control over colors and fonts, you can add a custom domain, and format text with headings. Its killer feature is turning text links into image buttons. I liked how much they stand out.

atom.bio matches most of this for free: fonts, colors, button styles and backgrounds (your own image, a gradient or a single color) are all included. A custom domain comes with Premium + Domain ($96/year, registration included for the first year).

In short: both make your page look professional. Campsite offers deeper control; atom.bio offers more for free.

Mobile experience

Almost everyone opens your page on their phone. Every template I tried on Campsite.bio and atom.bio looked right on mobile without extra work.

Link management

Both offer unlimited links, but they handle them differently.

Campsite.bio has more link types: embedded videos, contact forms, image carousels and grouped links. It’s built for organizing a lot of content, and you can schedule links to appear for a flash sale or disappear after an event.

atom.bio also has YouTube videos, a contact form and photo carousels, plus blocks Campsite doesn’t focus on: Google Maps, opening hours, reviews and downloadable files. It doesn’t have link scheduling, so for timed campaigns Campsite wins.

Analytics

Both give you the basics: clicks, views and which links are popular.

Campsite.bio integrates with Google Analytics if you want advanced tracking, and its paid plans add data like where your visitors are located.

atom.bio shows page views, link clicks, traffic sources and top links in the dashboard, with CSV export, and connects to Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel, all for free.

Making money

Campsite.bio is great for tips and affiliate links. You can customize your “Tip Jar” text and create nice buttons for promotions.

atom.bio is built for selling directly: add products with a price, a photo and a WhatsApp order button, show catalogs and price lists, and collect emails and phone numbers with a contact form.

Connections and add-ons

Campsite.bio wins on integrations. It connects to email platforms like Mailchimp and ConvertKit and lets you embed content from YouTube, Spotify and TikTok.

atom.bio covers the essentials: YouTube embeds, Google Maps, WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage or Messenger chat bubbles, Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel.

Price

This is the biggest difference.

Campsite.bio has a free plan but keeps its most powerful features for paid tiers ($7 to $24/month).

atom.bio’s free plan has everything: unlimited links, full customization and analytics. Premium is $3.99/month (or $29/year) to remove ads and get an email when someone fills in your contact form, and Premium + Domain ($96/year) adds your own domain. Details on the atom.bio pricing page.

Ease of use and support

atom.bio is very fast. You can build a pro-looking page in minutes. Campsite.bio has more options, so it takes a little longer to explore, but it’s still intuitive.

Both teams offer solid support. atom.bio even encourages you to email them with feature ideas, which I really liked.

The verdict

After testing both, I’d say they’re made for different creators.

atom.bio is the best value. The “everything free” claim is real: you get features others charge monthly for, and Premium removes the ads and emails you when someone fills in your contact form.

Campsite.bio is the professional’s choice: advanced marketing tools, scheduling, deeper integrations, and worth paying for if you use them.

And compared with Linktree, both give you more design freedom on the free plan.

Decision table: choose atom.bio if you’re starting out or sell products directly, Campsite.bio for advanced tools and time-sensitive campaigns

Both are big upgrades from a basic list of links. If you’re considering other tools too, read our guide to the best link in bio tools.
